Real wasabi paste is ground wasabi, fresh from the earth, turned into a green paste and served as a health-enriching condiment, to accompany sushi and sashimi. The taste is hot and stimulates your nasal passages—there is nothing else like it, and best of all it is a plant that thrives in our climate. While the rhizome is the best known part of wasabi, every part of the wasabi plant is edible.
